JEP’s interview with former Policy Advocacy Clinic fellow Ahmed Lavalais was featured on Berkeley Law’s official X account and published in the law school’s Criminal Law topic archive. The interview was part of a youth-led publication on juvenile justice debt and reform.

Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.) (2022)
S.T.O.P. featured JEP’s hybrid panel, “Injustice in the Justice System: AI”, as part of its series on algorithmic bias and surveillance. Co-hosted with Encode Justice, the 2022 event included S.T.O.P. founder Albert Fox Cahn as a panelist and examined how AI reinforces systemic inequities. It was held both in-person and on Zoom.
